My client is stuck at version 344784, which I think was the last pre-launcher version. Could you provide an update from this version, please.
Thanks very much for these patches, you have saved one customer here. |

For me it didn't. When I run the launcher I get the same "No connection could be made to the content server. Please make sure that your Internet connection is up and restart the Launcher." message that I usually get, and starting the Eve client from there still gives the "Incompatible protocol message."
Any tips?
Why can't you just provide the .exe files like you did yesterday? |

Horanda wrote:Downloaded correct Win patch file, ran launcher, and it started trying to re-download the patch. Noticed that new patch was not named the same, so took the '_win' off the end of the filename and ran launcher again. Patch installed quickly and game started. Thanks for this suggestion. Unfortunately it didn't work for me - could you post the full name of your re-named patch file so I can compare against what I'm doing? |

I've downloaded the patch, but as I mentioned on the previous page, my launcher spits out an exception and quits before it gets to a point where it sees and applies the patch file.
CCP: Earlier in the week, you provided patches in the form of .exe files which worked brilliantly (at least for me). What is preventing you from doing that again? |

Does anyone have an idea how to convince the launcher to apply an already downloaded patch before trying to make a connection to the server?
I've followed the instructions and have the patches in my directory. But starting the Launcher, I get a "cannot connect to server" error, apparently before it even tries to work with the patches that are sitting right there. (I can't solve the connection problem due to proxy issues, which is why I need the manual-patch workaround in the first place.) |

(I can't solve the connection problem due to proxy issues, which is why I need the manual-patch workaround in the first place.) if you open the launcher and go to the settings, on one of the tabs, you should see the option to import patch. for me it has been hit and miss as to whether or not that works though. Hope it helps. Unfortunately, I don't get far enough for menus or tabs to appear. I click the launcher, and an exception message appears before anything else ![Ugh](https://forums-archive.eveonline.com/Images/Emoticons/ccp_ugh.png) |

Would it be possible to create somewhere a running list of patches when they are applied, e.g. an evelopedia page with a 2-column list of the form: [date] [patch-number]
I've used up enough of my own time patching, so would like to wait until things "stabilize" (for instance, more than 72 hours without a patch) before I bother again. At that point I may just download the full client to avoid this hassle. But I don't want to do it every day. So a list letting me know how often patches are appearing would be very helpful.
I hope the new launcher is very helpful to your internal processes at CCP, because from the end-user perspective it's really pretty disappointing how fragile the whole process has become. |
